Vashanthiya Varan is a fashion textile designer with a strong print focus. As a recent Fashion Textile Design BA (Hons) graduate from De Montfort University, Vashanthiya has developed a broad range of cross-specialism skills and takes pride in taking a highly technical and professional approach to design. As a second generation immigrant, she recognises the importance of core heritage craftsmanship and incorporates a development of South Asian tradition combined with modernity, which influences her individual aesthetic of experimenting with alternative elements and materials for an innovative approach.
